I studied for my degree in the design of stained glass at Swansea College of Art, because I was fascinated with colour, form and the effects of light.

I discovered silk painting in 1986 and was mesmerised by the way the colours flowed on the silk and felt that I had found something very special.The feel and lustre of silk makes working with it very special and gives great pleasure.

As a student I worked in a florists and loved the texture and colour of the flowers so there was an immediate link between the two for me.

Immediatly the love of flowers ,colour and form bloomed in silk painting for me.
